Crawford's 27 earns MVP, title for Northwestern

Drew Crawford had 27 points and John Shurna 19 to lead Northwestern to the DIRECTV Charleston Classic presented by Foster Grant championship with an 80-73 victory over Seton Hall. Crawford scored five of the Wildcats’ final 13 points, including the tiebreaking basket that put them ahead for good, 69-67, with 2:28 remaining. Crawford had 17 points in Northwestern’s tournament-opening win over LSU and 28 against Tulsa. He was named the MVP of the eight-team tournament. Northwestern (4-0) overcame a career night by Seton Hall senior Herb Pope, who scored 32 points and had nine rebounds. Jordan Theodore added 16 points for the Pirates (3-1). MORE
