Terrence Oglesby led the way for Clemson.

TIGERS OUTRUN OWLS: Hoping for a championship game that would give this first-year tournament staying power, ESPN’s wishes were granted—thanks to a championship caliber dogfight between Clemson and Temple. Oliver Purnell’s Tigers prevailed in a nail biter, 76-72, led by Terrence Oglesby’s 16 points. Teammate (and Most Valuable Player) Trevor Booker, who averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds per game, added 15 points in the win. The new Carolina First Arena played host to the ESPN-owned event, which featured 12 thrilling games over three days.
